A Lancashire company which distributes household and kitchen textiles has chosen to partner with NexSys to update its entire system for fulfilment, delivery and tracking of goods.
Global Textiles UK has invested in a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution from NexSys as part of a drive to increase efficiencies throughout the entire business.
The company said changes in shopping habits meant they had outgrown their current system.
Global Textiles UK Managing Director Rick Peat said: “We distribute everything from blinds and curtains to bath mats and oven gloves. In the past that would have involved bulk orders whether it was to retailers, wholesalers, or consumers.
“Now, as online shopping has evolved, people want everything delivered to their home instead. This means we are delivering thousands of goods to individuals which meant we needed a system which could cope with this new way of working.
“When we went to the market, NexSys came up time and again as a reliable system. We had a member of staff who had used it at a previous company and recommended it too.”
Glen Burdett, Sales Director at K3 said: “Manufacturing and distribution is changing all the time. What worked three years ago in terms of technology tracking goods, distribution, products and planning may not be the right fit for a business today.
“Global Textiles showed foresight, not only by noticing the change in shopping habits but wanting to put a system in place which will take their business forward. We are delighted to be working with Global Textiles and look forward to an ongoing successful relationship.”
