K3 Business Technology Group, which provides smart business software and technology solutions to the retail, manufacturing and distribution sectors, has made two new appointments to its senior management team. The changes are part of an evolution of the business to align the strategic direction of the whole K3 group.
The company’s Technical Director Nick McGrane has been promoted to the role of Managing Director at NexSys, replacing Cathie Hall, who has been appointed to the role of Chief Business Officer at group level with K3 Business Technology Group.
Nick McGrane, who has been with the business since 1993, said: “The changes are part of the evolution of our company, with the aim of bringing further benefits to our customers. We are in an age where rapid change is being brought about by advancements and innovations in both manufacturing and technology, and we recognise that we need to keep pace to retain our competitive edge.
“NexSys has continually pushed ahead to produce award winning ERP agnostic software which we have productised. By doing this, in addition to having a strong global channel partnership in place, means that we create value for our customers, for our partners and for K3.
The new appointments come at a time when the business has grown to more than 800 staff across three continents, and which delivers software and best of breed technology to almost 4,000 customers and 40,000 users.
As well as working with household brand names such as IKEA, Hobbycraft, English Heritage and Lacoste, K3 also has strategic partnerships with Microsoft, SYSPRO, Sage, LS Retail, Rocket Software, as well as with global systems integrators such as Accenture, Avanade and IBM. The business also works closely with local technical and service partners across all continents.
